The Project provides careers of disabled children who are aged between two and 18 the opportunity to have a short break from their caring responsibilities.

Our aim is to provide

- opportunities for disabled children and young people to spend time away from their primary carers
- positive experiences for children by promoting friendships and encouraging social activities
- culturally appropriate services to meet linguistic and religious need

The most important thing is that the children have fun while they are with us!

We provide services on two sites. Our nursery is held in a health centre and is registered with Ofsted. It is for children with special needs aged two to five. The service runs during term time and at our last inspection was rated as “good”. The short break service for young people aged between 5 and 18 is delivered from a converted and extended family home situated in Catford and is open weekends, evenings and school holidays.

If you would like to be considered for these services you will need to be referred through the Children with Disabilities Team at Kaleidoscope the Lewisham Centre for Children and Young People.
