Ravensbourne Project provides Short Breaks for children and young people with a disability at Coombe House during the weekends and at school holidays.

At present the service is for 8 to 18 years. If you have a child that is under 8 contact us to discuss other options.

Our premises

coombe-houseOur services are held in a centrally located converted and extended family home. On the ground floor there is a sitting room/tv room, a dining room, a sensory room and an art room/activity room. There is also a kitchen, a laundry, two toilets, one with a shower which is en-suite to the personal care room.

Outside there is a log cabin with soft play and the garden has been laid with astro-turf allowing it to be used in all weathers. There is also a large patio area.

What do we do?

Ravensbourne Project’s Short Breaks help support carers in their caring responsibilities. In addition it provides children and young people with the opportunity to try out activities and situations that they may in the past have found to be upsetting or difficult, the possibility to resume friendships with children they have lost touch with when they changed schools, and to make new friends.
